GOKAI

“Go” means 5; “Kai” means commandment in Japanese. I have learned these during my reiki workshop as part of the Reiki principles. And I want to share my reflections on this mindfulness practice with those who would likely need it.
(BTW, these are not the direct English translation but I believe the contemporary interpretation made it more positive attracting more good vibes.)
HOW IS IT STARTED?It starts with saying “Just for today”. Just by saying it takes you to the “now” space which just requires you to just hold yourself together for this day. JDo not worry about yesterday and tomorrow. You just have to survive today and let tomorrow worry for itself. You know, of course, you have to think about the future but you may do so after you have acquired the mental clarity which is preceded by this kind of meditation.
I can say that these precepts will really work their way on the person who say it. Imagine saying this everyday and see how it conditions your mind to have pure intentions. You will definitely feel good.
1.I am at peace—Contrary to the direct english translation which says “Do not be angry”. This takes you to a space of calmness. Being at peace with yourself is as important as being at peace with others. After peace, mental clarity, creativity and productvity set in. Harmonious relationships also follows.
2.I trust (from Do not worry.)Trusting and not worrying brings you,”Keep calm and carry on.” Trust the process. Trust yourself and Trust God!: Trust how the universe conspires for you to achieve what your heart desires.
3. I am grateful (from Be grateful)Starting the day with a gratitude attitude will really help you win in life. But you don’t really have to think about the whole life ahead of you. Start now. Do it daily. List them every day or at least, verbalize them. Announce them to your safe space.When you start with a grateful heart,you can see more happy things flowing.An unappreciative heart would need to work this out by starting to appreciate even the smallest blessing. It makes you think that you are not a loser. After all, you have your shares of wins. It brings a whole sense of positivity, (not the toxic one. ) to make him a real winner.
4. I work Joyfully(Work hard)Working hard is hustle porn. I am a type-A person and this hits me hard. But now, i acknowledge it. You may work smart and affirm that we need rest and recreation. Not doing it sabotages our success.I mean it!!:)))Not doing it strips our creativity and productivity.Not doing it deprives our joy, our fuel to keep on going. So yes, say it out loud I WORK JOYFULLY!
5.I am love(Be kind to people)I am not perfect. It is hard to be kind always when others are not.But ,why not think likethis (as long as we can.Again, it is just for today:)))*winks*)
