They say ,” if you do not like something, change it.If you cannot change it, change your attitude towards it.”
I do not smoke, and i never smoked. Never will i like smoking, may it be e-cig with that whatever tasty, minty aroma or regular orang-white thing or that tobacco stick that makes you look like a mafia.(peace to you,my brother). Not to mention the smoke released by vehicles or factories (Btw, i live in a city so i really appreciate it whenever i visit provinces.)
.
FAC THOSE FACTORIES
Forgive me for that, but take that not against me. Of course, we do not want to blame industrialization nor technological advancements as these two have become part of our daily convenience. The power plants, factories and vehicles that emit dangerous particles out of their “chimneys” as well as burning of fuels has tremendously affect the concentration of gases in our atmosphere, maybe depleting the oxygen. That is the thing: they help but at the same time they contribute to the other problems. It is like we are thankful but we despise their nature. (Talk about greenhouse effect) So, we could not remove them at all. We need them.
OF CIGS AND TOBACCO
How would it be of great help to the world and mankind if every smoker will quit smoking? Again, i am not against them. I hope they just realize that the world would really appreciate it as much as their own body too. They might have saved extra pennies and put it on to a more meaningful investment, and be wealthy. They might have saved other people from developing the oncogenes or other diseases. They might have saved their own family and friends. They might have saved their own life or to prolong their life to see their children grow.
Hey, just so you know, your nonsmoker friend ,or that someone beside you may also want to enjoy fresh air as much as you want to enjoy your holy smokes. They are just reluctant to tell you because they are just as shy to mind or too kind to hurt your feelings. But,come on.Do not be an insensitive brat. I know you are kind too:)
People are already informed regarding the ill-effects of smoking to every part of the body, all the more the increased negative contribution of passive smoking to non-smokers. There is also this third hand smoking which happens when people inhale the fumes of cigarettes inside a confined space even though the smoker has already left.It is just to sad that despite these knowledge, they still do not want to quit. Of course, not abruptly. You cannot do that because you will experience withdrawal symptoms. (Just keep trying, you can do that.) Do it gradually.Remind yourself of its long lasting benefits. Its starts with your decision.

I would somehow want to commend the govenrment for pouring effort to pass the RA 9211 which includes the prohibition of smoking to public places and vehicles. There is the bill, and it would really really really be appreciated if they would implement it. It is really disgusting to see a jeepney driver smoking while driving with the anti-smoking campaign poster sticked on its jeep.I think it is a must for the lower local government to strictly address this issue. (Protect your people, that is why you are there) Nobody said it was easy, but always keep trying.
PROTECT YOURSELF-WEAR YOUR MASK
Again, They say ,” if you do not like something, change it. If you cannot change it, change your attitude towards it.”
It seems as if that the air pollution will never be eradicated. The phenomenon will more likely increase but less likely to decrease. And the catch is, we can not change these things. I am just worried about the people’s health. Even though,we try so much to promote health and prevent diseases by healthy lifestyle, we cannot avoid the fact that we are effortlessly breathing in harmful and poisonous air. We are exposing ourselves to the cumulative effects of free radicals and oxidants.
I have friends and family who smoke and i can say nothing against them. They are good people. i just hate how they let their bodies take in the harmful particles. (i love you guys
Most of the times, when I commute using an open public vehicle, i wear a mask. I do not mind if they stare at me as if I am sick with communicable disease. It is just that you must know how to protect yourself. Half of my face is covered, so, at least, my facial skin will not be exposed to dust that will block my pores and will eventually become out comedones. It is also easy for me to carry my bags and hold the handrails because i no longer need to hold my hanky.
By doing this, i do not guarantee that you will not be inhaling the “HOLY SMOKES” nor assuring you that you will not be sick eventually. Chances are you have lessened your exposure. And that is what we can simply do, what i am trying to say is that, if you love your life, know and do this for yourself.–Rz
