DREAM HARD AND HIGH

On dreams and dreads
People have dreams in life. If you have a dream, it is reasonable that you exhaust all your efforts to achieve said dream. The life dreams that you will achieve depend not only on the decisions you make, but on how strong and firm you hold on to that decision… that no matter how discouraging things are, you will persevere and won’t be disheartened.

There are two different distractions to achieving your dream. First are the negative distractions, which try to break you or make you give up. And the other being the positive distractions, which eventually come up and divert you to other options. The result will ultimately lie on your own life principles. It is a never ending battle between “you create your destiny” and “let the destiny create you”. Sometimes we hold plans at the back of our heads, that we often fail to realize what the Lord wants for us. The key is to pray; to ask for His guidance. Do your best and let God take care of the rest.

Now that you have decided to pursue your life dream, surround yourself with people who will boost your morale and confidence. Do not take in the negativities from those who doubt you. At the end of the day, you will be the one who is smiling for you have lived the dream you wanted.

It is like following a light inside a dark tunnel, but the tunnel is not straight and there are so many seemingly impossible ways to walk onto it. Create a plan and just focus on it and do not let your eyes wander so in the end you will reach it. It is always true that if there is a will, there must be a way. It is just that you have to decide because it is not easy. You have to endure it all. You have to undergo the struggle. After all, it will be worth it.

The ways may not be as ideal as how you planned it but it cannot be contradicted that it is still a method of getting your goal. As long as you do not step on other feelings and rights, as long as you are always on good faith, it is ok. Just like they say, you have the whole alphabet if you fail plan A,B or C. Also, it doesn’t mean if others did not make it , you will not also make it. The same thing as if people can do it, you can most likely do it. (Of course, we cannot take away the  possibility that the exact thing can happen to you)

You want it? Earn it. Dreaming without working creates nothing.  That is why pursuing dream is not a piece of cake.
It is hard. And basically the reason why you feel so triumphant and victorious after you get it. Remember what Jimmy Dugan in the movie, “A League of Their Own (1992) said, “it’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard…is what makes it great. “

Hindrances and obstacle are, of course, part of the journey. We can say that hindrances ranges from the simplest to the most complicated circumstances of daily life. There are lot of intrapersonal and interpersonal factors like considering your moods and habits, health, time,  emotions, practicality or financial capability, even extending to your relationships and family. So if you would ask someone who is old, those have no time and energy, the reason why they were not able to realize their dream is multifactorial. Do not ask them unless you are ready to listen.

When you have determined that some, if not all, factors are in conflict with your dream, your views about it might change. If you are that determined though, you also have to bear in mind the consequences that your decision brings. It is not your fault if you need to reconsider your options as life is deemed really unfair. When you introspect, you weigh the pro’s and con’s. You may begin contemplating, “ Is this what i really want for myself?” The most serious query of all time is asking yourself whether your dream is really your dream. This is important since this is supposed to guide you on which way to go.

.
There might be a fear that in the end you will realize that all the hardships are useless because it was not your dream after all;nor that you are not satisfied by how things have gone. Reflection and contemplation are good; nonetheless,do not waste time thinking too much. These do not only throw a huge amount of time, these also give you unnecessary anxieties and problems that only you alone created.
.
.
I must say though, that if you already know your dream, go for it. It is also irrevocably right to utter that you only live once and it is too short to live in regrets. So what if others see it as nonsense. Prove them wrong. You are living your life, not them.  Strive to achieve what you want to be. In the maslow’s hierarchy of needs, the acme is self-actualization,and this need will be satisfied by sense of achievement towards realization of one’s goal in life.

Your goal is not to be bitter everyday because you see someone else is living your dream for you when in fact you should be the one who is doing it. Your goal is not to feel an inch of desperation when you reach your elderly years just because of the what-if’s and what-could-have-been’s.Your goal is not to lie on your deathbed wishing that you had more time because of the regrets.

At this moment, im leaving you one quote from Paolo Coehlo’s “The Alchemist” “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”God bless you.-Rz
