So I called Philhealth today. It was the second for this week.
First is for me. Second is for my dad.
(If you need their hotline number, here it is (02-8441 7442)
Also, here is their portal. https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/services/#gsc.tab=0 You may need to create an account and log in so you can check your contributions here. CALLING THEIR HOTLINE NUMBER
OH..I FORGOT /MISPLACED my/their number.
I usually don’t like calling offices because of the hassle of waiting on the other line. But that didn’t happen on my latest experience. It was actually easy. The phone operator was also easy to talk to to. I called after lunch.
So, if you have a question, don’t hesitate to call them.
BTW, Here are the questions I asked. Hope this helps.(REAL QUESTIONS TO THE OPERATOR)
- I forgot or I don’t know my Philhealth number: They will just ask you about your name , birthdate, contact details, address, TIN number. If you will ask for another person or a family member, you have to provide those details. Prepare those.
- I don’t have Philhealth ID: You can also provide MDR or Philhealth number just in case they need it. But, she said it is usually needed because most hospitals can access the Philhealth portal.
- I am employed before and I was registered under their name but i left out already for some reason. What do do(ex:2015): You have to update your details in their local Philhealth office. In Quezon city, they have the one in Mother Ignacia and the one in Neopolitan. You will update it as self-earning-voluntary payment.
- What do I bring if I will update my membership ?Bring 2 valid ID’s and birth cert for verification
- How much do I pay as premium if I am a student or a self-earning individual? It depends on your declared monthly income but the minimum bracket is P0-10,000. Individuals who belong in this population shall pay 3% amounting to P300.
- I did not pay before. What to do? – They will find when was the last time you paid. And they will give you a reckoning date (Nov 2019 for me, they said it is when Universal health care was implemented. In order for me to use my philhealth i have to retropay from nov2019 up to now. )
- Can I just reopen and start anew?-No. Because the Philhealth number is permanent and issued only once. you really have to pay for it.
- Can I just pay in bayad center? No, you have to update your membership first. Because payment in bayad center can only cover current payments (not retro)
- I am a dependent, Am I eligible to avail Philhealth services? As long as you are declared as an independent you can avail it.
I think that’s all i can share for now based on my experience. I suggest that you update yours so you can use it to avail other benefits should the need arise.
Disclaimer: My experience may be different from yours:))I am not related to Philhealth. For other questions, you may direct your question to their hotline.:)
